Suffolk is currently attracting huge names, from artists around the world. With such a diverse entertainment scene and so many venues, it’s quickly becoming a hub for live music, comedy, and theatre.

The Popularity of Live Events

Some upcoming events in Suffolk include Latitude Festival. This is returning to the area in July, and it is the biggest festival in the area. Taking place at the famous estate, Henham Park, it features artists that include Sting and Snow Patrol. You also have Gary Barlow, who is performing on the 14th of June at Thetford Forest. The concert is to celebrate his 40-year career, with hits from his solo career, as well as from his time with Take That. In other news, The Darkness is kicking off their tour in Ipswich. Taking place on the 6th of March, they are playing at The Regent Theatre. The tour coincides with their newest album, which is going to be released for the tour.

If comedy is more your thing, Harry Hill is also coming to the county. He’s kicking off his tour in February and is hitting numerous other dates as well. As time goes by, more and more artists are coming to Suffolk, some for the very first time. Festival organisers also seem keen to keep their events in Suffolk as much as possible. FolkEast, which is usually held at Glemham Hall near Woodbridge, has been operating there for the last 12 years.

In 2025, the festival had to find a new home. Instead of moving out of the county to try to gain a new audience, they have chosen to stay in Suffolk, choosing to hold the event at the Sotterley Estate in August. The founder of the festival has said that more information is going to be released at a later date, but they are happy to be able to stay within the area which has served as the festival’s roots for quite some time.
